I agree completely... for something like this where i would have stayed one night in a cramped, shared room, i was glad to go home to heal in my own space! thanks, i've already been working on my protein and water and it is pain free! :)

Glad to hear you are already feeling better..It's amazing sometimes how quickly some things can be done--I had my revision at literally 4 hours notice (he told me when I came in with pain & nausea).  I had a similar surgery in Nov- healing was pretty easy, though I did get intestinal cramps (they say the twist and turn to try to return to the spot, my Dr puts mesh to block their route)....they calmed down within about 2 months.  I was restricted for a few weeks- lifting for about a month.  Good luck!

wow that is scary! the entire thing for me was really scary because i was thinking about how much pain i was in after the RNY i didn't ever want to experience something like it again! yikes, 2 months! i'm really bummed that this will keep me from working out...i'll find out next week for how long though. thanks jenn :)

the 2 month thing was occassional spasms (I would get drop you to the floor spasms because mine had almost my whole intestine reeled like a hose)...not constant pain...as you know the pain resolves immediately as it relates to being able to eat and drink.  I think you will be okay'd for light exercise quickly.

I did have a spasm earlier but I was already laying down with a pillow on ny belly so I was pretty well braced for it.
I can already hear my pipes working again whenever I eat or drink! I'm also thinking i'll be ok soon to do maybe a bike at the gym and some arm exercises! Sorry to hear your pipes were twisted up so bad!!

I had a dent like that for a few months from where the drain from RNY was.  It's gone now.  Yours looks awfully similar so hopefully it will smooth out soon.
